With its new season less than a day old, Apex Legends already has fresh news for players. The Battle Royale game developed by Respawn Entertainment is set to hit Nintendo Switch on March 9th. The developer announced the port’s release date with a short message on the game’s website.
The Nintendo Switch version of Apex Legends will be developed with Respawn and Panic Button. This is perhaps the smallest platform Apex ever released, this does not mean that this version will lack anything from the larger console and computer counterparts. The Nintendo Switch version will have all the features of the full version of Apex, including platform platform. To compensate for the compensation, size and technical limitations of the platform, the Switch version of Apex Legends will contain some unique optimizations to bring it in line with the other versions of the game.
Apex Legends season 8 also kicked off Tuesday, meaning the Switch version of the game starts right in the middle of the season. All of the content in Season 8 will be included in the Switch version at launch, and Switch players will receive 30 levels of current battle-pace upgrades for free to make up for the late start. Switch players will also receive double XP for the first two weeks after the game’s release.
Similar to other platforms, Apex Legends on Nintendo Switch is free to play.
