One Octane chief invented a simple buffalo for the Adrenaline Junkie, which would have him walking in the upper reaches of the Apex Legends character pool.
With season 8 now well underway, players are finding themselves in the new PVBs and metas. While the focus is on the eccentric Aussie Fuse, other characters also always get changes.
One of these is Octane, the Adrenaline Junkie that was originally added back in season 1. While Octane certainly does not diminish among the lower Apex Legends characters, it’s hard to argue that he’s anything more than a fixed option in the game’s current meta.
As such, fans of the speedster considered buff options if Respawn would strengthen him. One Redditor – ‘Toad_R’ – did exactly that, suggesting that Octane’s springboards improved which were very popular with fans.

Octane was released almost two years ago in Apex Legends, in March 2019.
The proposal gives Octane players the option to aim their Launch Pad to explode when used by an enemy. However, this option would only be available to Octanes if they also carry a grenade, something they lose if they direct the Launch Path.
The player explains: ‘If you aim, you lose the grenade, but throw a’ rigged jump path ‘. You and your teammates can use it normally, but if an enemy tries to use it, the Road inflates in the process, giving the boost but causing damage and then being destroyed. ‘
Justification was also given, with the player declaring that they fit into Octane’s character, improving the versatility of his Launch Pad and reducing the likelihood of enemies chasing if an Octane tried to escape quickly.

The buff idea, complete. It would probably be very annoying to play against it.
Unfortunately, Respawn’s main game designer at Apex, Daniel Klein, answered the question why Octane would need a lover, given his current condition. After all, his springboard has already made some big changes in the season 8 update.
As mentioned before, Octane is by far not the best legend in the game, but he remains clear of some of his weaker options like Rampart.
It is reasonable to assume that Respawn will look the weakest before focusing their attention on Octane.
