Apex Legends celebrates second anniversary with collection event • Eurogamer.net

And there are even free things.

Apex Legends is celebrating its second year of existence this month, and along with the release of information on the early development stages of the game, Respawn is also launching an anniversary of the game.

To celebrate the anniversary, players will be able to earn 22 items, “including two event packs and ten top packs”. Players will also receive five rewards for signing up for the first time, although this is exactly a mystery.

The event also brings back 24 skins that previously appeared in the game, with a splash of red and gold paint. Unlocking all of this will earn you 150 heirlooms – although judging by previous fundraising events, it can be quite expensive.

A new playlist called Locked and Loaded is also introduced in which players with a complete set of level one gear (including a Mozambique) land. All other white equipment has been removed from the outdoor pool, but you need to be able to upgrade your equipment quickly. This is good, because nobody wants to keep a Mozambique for long.

The anniversary event runs from 9 to 23 February and coincides with season 8 – which started on Tuesday and introduced the explosives expert Fuse.
