Grenadier! Bone clusters! Motherlode!
Apex Legends’ eighth season, Mayhem, is now just a few days from its launch on Tuesday, February 2, and developer Respawn continues to spin the hype handle in anticipation, this time delivering a full version of the abilities that the new hero uses Fuse.
Walter “Fuse” Fitzroy, a former mercenary and a “true connoisseur of explosives”, is the 16th hero to join Apex Legends’ ever-growing line-up. After his initial unveiling earlier this month, he is now the full unveiling treatment in a new video.
Fuse, which can rain the destruction from an ‘extraordinary range’, is equipped with the passive Grenadier capability. This allows him to stack one more grenade per supply slot than any other hero, and throw them ‘father, faster and more accurately’ with his mechanical arm.

His Knuckle Cluster, meanwhile, is a tactical cluster bomb spitting out mini-concussion mines, and his Ultimate is the mighty Motherlode – who fires a massive mortar into the sky and surrounds Fuse’s opponents with a firearm as soon as it explodes.
Along with Fuse, Season 8 introduces a new lever action rifle known as The 30-30 Repeater, a new Battle Pass and Rated Season, plus some major changes to the Kings Canyon map. It arrives next Tuesday, February 2 on PS4, Xbox One and PC, and there are rumors that Apex Legends’ long-awaited Switch release will appear on the same day.
