New York Progressive Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez slammed President Biden on Wednesday after she flatly rejected her proposal to forgive $ 50,000 in student debt.
Ocasio-Cortez, a far-left Democrat representing parts of the Bronx and Queens, noted that even Senate leader Chuck Schumer supports her idea.
Biden said on CNN City Hall Tuesday night, “I will not let this happen” because he is concerned about federal funds to Harvard and Yale graduates rather than “early education for young children coming from disadvantaged backgrounds.”
The 31-year-old, self-labeled socialist, known under the initials AOC, took to Twitter to reprimand Biden for the position, pointing out that she had won the support of Schumer (D-NY) against who she believes is a 2022 primary challenge.

In search of the use of her social media stars, AOC released the following seven-tweet thread to urge supporters of forgiveness of student loans to call on legislators to keep the idea alive.
