Antonio Brown pleads with Bucs to sign again, Devin White shoots back

Antonio Brown asked the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to sign him again on social media, but teammate Devin White jumped in to say they were waiting for him.

The Bucs celebrated the first team since 1977 to bring back all 22 leaders of a Super Bowl victory in a message on Instagram.

Brown, who is a free agent, despite being an important part of the success, made a comment under the message ‘sign AB’.

White, the team’s star line-up player, responded to Brown’s comment and said ‘wait for you’.

The back-and-forth between the two could refer to reports that Brown and the Bucs could not agree on contract negotiations.

According to the NFL Network, the Bucs have expressed interest in Brown returning, but he is asking for more money than they are willing to offer. Brown earned $ 2 million last season and the Bucs are looking for a similar number, while the veteran width wants something closer to market value.

Leonard Fournette, whose re-signing brought back the final starter earlier this month, spoke about Brown’s status with the team and his hopes that he would return.

“I hope he comes back,” Fournette told ProFootballTalk last week. “Guys like that, you have to be around.”

“He’s just, I think, very misunderstood. I didn’t know too much about AB before we played with each other, but he’s a great guy to be with and I hope he comes back.”
