An anti-capitalist protester climbed the ladder … but it was not the ladder of success, as he sank to the ground during a protest and injured himself when the sidewalk was flooded with black dust.

It went off in Madison Avenue on Friday when 32-year-old Kevin Clarke tried to scale down a timetable at Chase Bank. The higher he got, the more he struggled until he lost his grip and fell about 30 feet to the ground, injuring his hip.
Many of the protesters, including Clarke, were armed with spray paint to contaminate the building. When Clarke hit the ground, the can apparently broke because black paint covered the sidewalk where he ended up. At least one other protester used his undisturbed can of paint to write his message on one of the walls of Chase Bank.
Clarke was arrested on charges of reckless threat and taken to a hospital for treatment. He is expected to be ok.
It was a kind of abbreviated version of Occupy Wall Street, but with fewer people and no real organization. Clarke derailed the whole thing.
