Anthony Hopkins feels grateful to have received the coronavirus vaccine.
The Oscar-winning actor, who celebrated his 83rd birthday last month, shared a video on Friday showing him receiving the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
In the video, Hopkins wears a face shield and face mask and gets his shot while sitting in a car.
“THANK YOU VERY MUCH”, he writes along the short track, giving a shout out to CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center as well as his’ dear friend, dr. Maria Teresa Ochoa. ‘
“Light at the end of the tunnel (after one year of self-imposed quarantine),” he added.

While spending time at home over the past year, the actor kept busy with his social media posts, joining TikTok and sharing a number of videos with his beloved pet cat, Niblo.
“Niblo makes sure I stay healthy and demands that I entertain him in return … cats 🤷🏼♂️,” he wrote a caption in which the cat sat in his lap while playing the piano.
In another light-hearted video, Hopkins wished his followers a “sweet day” on behalf of him and his cat – who made a brief cameo before jumping off the screen.
“This is my friend Niblo and say good morning to everyone – oh, he got bored!” Hopkins said with a laugh: “Niblo wishes everyone a beautiful day …”

Hopkins began revealing his social media accounts last year, saying he “wants to have a good laugh” with his fans.
“People seem to react to my strange sense of humor,” he said. “Because that’s all we can do – let’s try to have a good laugh. Let’s try to keep up the courage.”
“I try to communicate with people and say, you know, let’s try to enjoy it and enjoy it. Just enjoy it,” he added. “My life is blessed, you know, but people really suffer from pain, and I know people who are very lonely. And I wish I could do more, but I do the best I can.
