“Every day is an improvement. When I go back a few months, I mean, it was a big hit. ‘
But fortunately for the British native, he was able to gain the strength to dig himself out of his depression and shift his focus to the ‘big things’ in his life.
‘I reached this turning point where I either went to live in the dark or just a few times would slap myself in the face and say,’ Wake up; you are incredibly blessed. Concentrate on all the great things, ” he recalls.
Ant’s first step towards healing took place when he decided to sign up for an online course for a 35-day ‘recovery’ experience, followed by a faith-based weekend getaway focused on harmonizing mind and body.

He explained at the end that the recovery course and the retreat helped remind him that ‘no one controls me but me’ and that it’s up to me to empower myself and realize how amazing I am. ‘
Anstead also found the strength to open up and rely on his daughter Amelie (17) and son Archie (14), who live with their mother Louise in the UK. Ant was married from 2005 until their divorce in 2017.
‘[Amelie and Archie] are really my best friends, ‘he stormed. Ant revealed that the news of his divorce from Christina ‘was devastating for them too’.
“It was a very, very difficult FaceTime call,” he recalls. “They loved Christina very much – and they still wanted us to work. I think every child just wants to see their parents happy. ‘

“There has never been a scenario where I asked for him and not the other way around,” Ant emphasized.
Although he was no longer romantic with Christina, Anstead said he hopes to “always have a relationship” with Christina’s two children, daughter Taylor (10) and son Brayden (five).
‘If they ever need me, I’ll be there in a heartbeat. All five children are the first priority. ‘
