Anji Mito Games Trailer Released for Guilty Gear Strive

The abs are back in town

It’s time to usher in the new year and with it Anji Mito’s birthday on January 1st, which of course makes it the perfect time to celebrate a little party in the world of Guilty Gear.

Arc System Works has definitely agreed as they have now released the game trailer for Anji as he will appear in Guilty Gear Strive with all the abs and fans you could hope for at this festivity.

Mito first appeared 20 years ago with the release of GGX, and he used his Zessen fans and traditional Japanese dance moves that seem to make a full return in Strive.

As one of the few remaining Japanese left in the world, Anji is a coveted man for both the colonies in which they are placed, escape and steal the Zessen, who happen to be one of the Sacred Treasures like Sol and Ky’s swords .

Those who have recently gone on to play Accent Core again will probably see a complete overhaul of Anji’s animations, which is not surprising, as this is the first time he has fought in three dimensions.

Most of his attacks, however, appear to be intact, as we see his Fuujin special a number of times, but we only now see what follows.

One action that is currently very noticeably absent is his Kai bumps that give him a lot of pressure and mixing scenarios, so it would be a shame if it did not make a return in Strive.

Of course, Anji also likes his butterfly projectile and overall aesthetics, because that would not really be him, along with the Guard Point counter mechanic who is also seen a few times.

Guilty Gear Strive is expected to be released worldwide on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC on April 9, 2021, though players can access it a few days early by pre-ordering the Deluxe / Ultimate Edition.

Although there are no characters about the identity of the final member of Strive’s, ArcSys does confirm at the end that the next announcement will come in February 2021. You can see the new trailer below.
