Those Animal cross: new leafAmiibo cards from Sanrio, previously available in Japan and the EU, will finally arrive in the US on March 26. Nintendo first announced their release in January, but now the company is taking a look at what you can get if you build the collaboration package. The game giant has posted videos on YouTube and Twitter pointing out the villagers you can add in your city, as well as the Sanrio-themed items you can buy in the store if you scan the amiibo cards.
There are six villagers you can add to your city by scanning the maps, and each gives you access to specific Sanrio items. The Rilla card adds Hello Kitty-themed furniture and wallpapers to the list of items you can buy, for example. You will also find items based on My Melody, Little Twin Stars Kiki and Lala, Pompompurin, Cinnamoroll and Kerokerokeroppi along with the other locals. Each theme has a different set: the Cinnamoroll items have tablets, umbrellas and plates for a cafe, while the kerokerokeroppi themes include a bridge and koidam for a Japanese garden.
The New leaf Sanrio package is available exclusively on Target on March 26 for $ 6. In Canada, it will be sold by retailers, including Best Buy, for CA $ 7.
