If you have a copy of Animal crossing: new horizons, there must be an update waiting for you that pushes the game up to version 1.9.0. Alternatively, you can activate the update manually by going to the game settings in the Switch Home Menu.
When you have updated to this latest version of the game, you will receive a birthday cake by mail. Apart from this, players can also look forward to the return of Bunny Day on April 4, new seasonal items, improved design and more.

The software has been updated as “Ver. 1.9.0” in the upper right corner of the title screen.
General updates
- The Bunny Day seasonal event has been updated.
- Additional support for the Sanrio® Collaboration amiibo cards has been added.
- New mile redemption options have been added to the Nook Stop.

Fixed issues
- A Problem of Ver. 1.4.0 if the player uses a wand to transform and then swaps his wand for another item while their pockets are full, the player will no longer be able to remove the transformation gear.
- Problem of Ver. 1.7.0 with kits where a player can dig where he normally would not be able to if he intended to use the ‘Let me introduce myself …’ option.
- Other adjustments and corrections have been made to improve the gaming experience.
