Animal Crossing New Horizons: Hello Kitty Villagers Come to Target

Since the release, fans of Animal crossing: new horizons has the omission of certain promotional items available in New leaf, but a new partnership between retailer Target and Nintendo aims to change that. Sanrio’s Hello Kitty comes to your island resort, provided of course you buy the accompanying amiibo cards.

The cards will be released on March 26 and are exclusive to Target. No price point has been shared yet, but on the images we can see a wide range of new furniture items that are not currently in play, such as beds and character-themed tables. Previously, you could only get Sanrio posters via Harv Island.

Perhaps more appealing, the maps also contain completely new villagers (to New horizons, at least) – Rilla, Marty, Etoile, Chai, Chelsea and Toby respectively. There is no other way to get these people, which could explain why complete sets of these cards are being sold for previous games for exorbitant prices on eBay. In other words, expect these cards to sell out fast, especially given the popularity of New horizons.

Animal transition will also receive a dancing Peacock update in January, and a Super Mario-themed patch in March.
