Animal Crossing Build-A-Bear for sale this morning could be a bunch of fluff [Update]

Build-A-Bear’s eagerly awaited official Animal crossing: new horizons plushies are on sale this morning at 11:00 Eastern. In order to secure a huge demand, Build-A-Bear has set up a virtual queue where customers gather to wait for their chance to buy items that have not even been announced yet. Nothing can go wrong with this plan. Update: It’s just Tom Nook and Isabelle. Boe.

Here’s how Build-A-Bear’s virtual waiting room works. Customers can at 10:30 on the Build-A-Bear Website. In the queue, they will randomly find a place in the queue. Once a customer’s turn, they have a limited time to buy items from the customer Animal crossing: new horizons collection. Once purchased, it is free to go to eBay and buy everything they have just purchased for at least double the price.

There are some issues with such a system. First, as we’ve seen with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S sales since the new consoles launched in November, bots and scalpers like automated tug-of-war systems, which regularly dominate sales of hard-to-find items.

Second, Build-A-Bear reveals characters and items not even until 10:30 Eastern. For all fans, they know they can be ready to stand up Barold the neck bear or Candi, the mouse whose eyes look like cooking and eyebrows look like eyes.
