Angels make handful of grid movements

The English chose the campaign Jon Jay posted from their alternate site and outfielder Dexter Fowler on the 60-day injured list, the team announced. In other movements the Angels placed the catcher Max Stassi (left thumb sprain) and fielder Juan Lagares (calf) on the 10-day IL, and they remember to stop Anthony Bemboom.

The 36-year-old, who signed the Englishman before the season for a minor league contract, put together a respected career following his debut in the Cardinals in 2010. However, his numbers dropped from 2018-20 with the Royals, Diamondbacks and White Sox. He scored an unlucky .160 / .211 / .240 in 57 tours to Arizona last year, though Jay gets the chance to start again, tonight with Fowler for the season and both Lagares and Justin Upton (back stiffness) that handles injuries.

Stassi was usually known for his defensive prowess, but he has come alive since 2020. With a red-hot start this season, Stassi made a cut of 0.292 / .371 / .538 with 29 home runs, albeit a small example of 124 PA and 38 games. Bemboom and Kurt Suzuki will handle the catch while Stassi is out.
