Angelina Jolie reflects on ‘quite difficult’ over the past few years: ‘I have focused on healing our family’

Angelina Jolie has been going through difficult times over the past few years.

In conversation with British Vogue, the “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” actress (45) talked about her domestic life with six children, as well as about her various humanitarian efforts.

“The last few years have been pretty difficult,” Jolie admitted when asked if she was at a happy stage in her life. “I focused on healing our family. It comes back slowly, like the ice melting and the blood returning to my body. ‘

Jolie then reflected on life in her forties – and recalled the death of her mother in the process.

“I feel much more comfortable in my forties than when I was younger. Maybe because … I do not know … maybe because my mother did not live very long, so there is something about age that feels like a victory in instead of a victory sad for me. ‘

“I’m looking forward to my fifties – I feel like I’m going to hit my pace in my fifties,” Jolie continued. “Even though we were on the trampoline the other day, and the kids said, ‘No, Mom, don’ t do this. You will hurt yourself. “And I thought, ‘God, isn’t that funny?’ ‘There was a day when I was an action star, and now the kids are telling me to get off the trampoline because I’ll hurt myself. “

“Even at a young age, they know that it is important to feel safe and loved and stable. Not to harm those you love. To know your own mind and truth and not to live a lie not.”

The actress noted that she now lives in Cecil B. DeMille’s former estate, saying that ‘I wanted it to be close to their father, who is only five minutes away’, referring to the estranged man, Brad Pitt.

‘I feel a little pressure moving in. Like where I would hang out DeMille and Chaplin. I really like that there is no reception hall but lots of roads and places to walk and think. I feel very happy that we have it at this time, ‘Jolie continues.

Jolie is the mother of Maddox (19), Pax (17), Zahara (16), Shiloh (14) and twins Knox and Vivienne (12), who she all shares with Pitt (57).
