Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is set to receive a lot of attention this week and Chiefs head coach Andy Reid has offered the first update following Sunday’s 22-17 win over the Browns.

Mahomes left the game in the third quarter after suffering a concussion during a running game. Mahomes looked dazed as he was helped up to the play, and he was excluded a short while later.

Reid said Mahomes feels good after the game and that the team will see where things stand on Monday.

“He was hit in the back of the head and the wind blew him out. . . “He’s doing well right now,”

Mahomes will have to go through the concussion protocol to be cleared for the AFC championship game, and it is not possible to predict at this stage whether this will happen.
