Kelly Dodd van The Real Housewives of Orange County caused a lot of waves on social media for her opinions on COVID-19. The Bravo celebrity had major setbacks and some fans demanded that she be fired. Although Andy Cohen finds her comments ‘troublesome’, he also defends Dodd’s ‘outspokenness’.
What did Kelly Dodd say about COVID-19?
Dodd has made many Bravo viewers and RHOC fans upset about her the coronavirus. Early in the pandemic, Dodd took to social media to mock people who took COVID-19 seriously. The TV personality even said that the virus was ‘God’s way of thinning out the flock’. After the setback, she apologized for her insensitive remarks.
Cohen addressed the incident when Dodd made an appearance Watch what happens live where she apologized and regretted making the statement.
“Of course I’m sorry I said that,” Dodd said WWHL of her comment “thins out the herd”. “It was a stupid thing for me to say, it was insensitive and I apologize if I hurt or insult anyone. That was not really my intention … I really came across it. In hindsight, that was the dumbest thing I’ve ever said. ”
Dodd said masks make her feel claustrophobic, which is why she did not like wearing one. However, she now understood that masks were beneficial in slowing the spread. Despite her apology, she wore the mockery without wearing a mask and applauded people shouting a ‘super spreader’ at a local pub in Orange County.

Andy Cohen defends Kelly Dodd
Although Dodd did not comment on the Bravo program, fans made it clear that they were not happy with her. The cable network has RHOC to stop and did not announce when they would start shooting the new season. Cohen recently admitted that viewers are hoping for a stir and said they weigh everything before they start filming again.

Kelly Dodd is hopeful of coming back
Following rumors that Dodd is picking up the ax RHOC and not returning for another season, the star remained hopeful. The entrepreneur covered up the rumors and shared a message about return.
‘It’s actually quite funny … I’ve heard these rumors every year for the past five years. Looking forward to my sixth season, ”Dodd tweeted after it was reported, she was cut from the show.
