Android apps are crashing for some, but Google is working on a solution

Some Android apps are currently falling on some people, but Google is working on a solution. The problem is due to a system component called Android System WebView that allows Android applications to display web content, but it’s currently having a type of issue that causes applications to crash.

“We are aware of an issue with WebView that is causing some apps on Android to crash,” Google said in a statement. Engadget. “We are currently fully validating the scope and a correction is currently underway.”

Some users say this removal WebView’s latest update should fix the problem – and in fact Samsung’s official US Twitter account recommends take that exact step.

Google also acknowledges issues with Gmail on Android in the Google Workspace status page. The company recommends using the desktop interface until problems are resolved.

Google did not immediately respond to a request for comment The edge.
