Samsung began rolling out the Android 11-based One UI 3.0 firmware update for the Galaxy S10 series in the first week of January. The update debuted in Europe, but now it’s finally working on the Galaxy S10 series in the US. It is performing for the unlocked models, although carrier variants should eventually receive the same treatment.
The Android 11 / One UI 3.0 update for the Galaxy S10 series in the US is coming a little later than expected, especially now that it’s been a month and a half since the initial implementation took place in Europe. However, as many people probably know, Samsung was forced to pull out the initial version for about a week due to unspecified issues before it was restarted.
Whatever was wrong with the initial version should have already been fixed, and owners of the Galaxy S10 series in the US can now finally join the One UI 3.0 party that started at the beginning of the year. They will enjoy a new and redesigned user interface with a modernized look, throughout the first party user interface and apps, new alerts and notifications, new lock screen features and much more.
Unlocked Galaxy S10 owners in the US should be able to download the new firmware update – identified by the firmware version G97xU1UEU4FUA4 – by opening Institutions on their phones, navigate to Software update and the choice of the Download and install option. Alternatively, they can search and download the firmware from our archive and install it manually on their phones using a computer.
