It was just over a week ago that Andrade requested his release from WWE. It happened after he was out of television for months and reported that Vince McMahon saw nothing in him. His fact that in a relationship with Charlotte Flair, one of the top stars on the rankings, who according to the Wrestling Observer insisted on TV storylines, including him, did nothing to help his status within the company.
While it was initially reported that his request for release had been rejected, WWE had just announced that the two parties to his release should agree. He gets the usual outing for people in this position:

Andrade recently tried to brand ‘La Sombra’, which led to the obvious speculation that he would henceforth work under the name.
