Analizan creates vacancy passport against COVID-19 for women traveling internationally

Moscow – The World Health Organization (OMS) will soon debate the question of the possible use of certificates or “evacuation passports” in international routes, declared the expert of the Department of Immunology of the European Department of Institution, Oleg Beneshi.

According to the specialist, in a telematic press conference for Russian media, this topic “is on the agenda of the International Committee of Medical Standards and Sanitation”, and expressed its hope that it would be debated immediately.

“With the emergence of effective and secure vaccines against coronavirus, the OMS is studying the topics related to the evacuation of international travelers. We will record that the use of an international certificate is a matter regulated by medical and sanitary standards ”, indicó.

The expert confirms that the international body analyzes the scientific, normative and ethical aspects of this initiative.

Benesh indicates that in the news the OMS works in three main directions: the recommendation of vacancies to women of travel, the approval of the limitations of vacancies or requisition requirements for travelers, as well as the information exchange evacuation.

Russia has one of the countries to propose the creation of evacuation or immigration passports, for which purpose the proximity of a digital document will be announced on the portal of State Services, an initiative launched by Israel, which will include “green passports” to the vacancies, with the end of facilitating their mobility.

Last December, the President of the Russian Senate, Valentina Matvienko, ruled against this practice, which calls for “anti-utopia” which discriminates against citizens.

However, the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, has not only endorsed the entry of the evacuation passports, but has applied to the Government for the 4th day to study the possibility that this evacuation document will be valid internationally.
