A new Dungeons & Dragons RPG is being developed, according to a tweet by Hidden Path Entertainment looking for developers to join the team.
In the tweet, Hidden Path announced that they are hiring developers to work on what they describe as a “AAA, third-person, open-world fantasy RPG” in the Dungeons & Dragons universe.

We know nothing really other than what was announced here in the tweet, but it’s interesting to see another game effectively announced in the Dungeons & Dragons universe. The Dungeons & Dragons universe is seen in several titles currently being released – including two MMORPGs in Dungeons & Dragons Online and Neverwinter – as well as many projects in development. Baldur’s Gate 3 has just updated its early access RPG with Druids being added, and we know that a new game in the Icewind Dale region is in the works from Wizards of the Coast, titled Dark Alliance.
It also comes at a time when Wizards of the Coast is seeing tremendous growth for both Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering, with both games focusing on future revenue for Hasbro, Wizards’ parent company.
