An Apple Watch Anniversary Gift and the Future That Helped It Change

On the morning of October 19, 2020, just after Bob, then 58, was put under anesthesia, one of the doctors in the operating room read a letter from Bob. It is aimed at ‘the medical staff who are going to perform my heart procedure’.

‘As I lie here in my hospital bed today waiting for my Ablation, I think of what I want to know if I’m you. Namely, the person with the beating heart that you are going to address is very grateful for all the schooling, training and experience that each of you has. ”

The note continued: ‘Unlike many of your patients, I had no idea that fate would bring us together today … thank you in advance for making me another one of your success stories. Let’s do it! ”

Bob’s procedure went extremely well and now, just a few months later, he is running next to his dog again. He and Lori admit his Apple Watch has changed their future.

“We really believe it saved his life,” Lori says. “It’s not getting bigger.”
