When it comes to female streamers on Twitch, Imane “Pokimane” Anys has long been one of the most popular and recognizable faces on the platform. So much so, in fact, that she was actually the best streamer on all of Twitch throughout 2020, by some standards. However, if a new development for the month of March is an indication of what may happen in the future, it looks like there may be a new queen on the ever-popular streaming site.
According to new data from Stream Charts, Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa was the best female streamer for March 2021, defeating Pokimane who finished second. Amouranth collected 1.79 million hours of viewed content during the month, topping Pokimane, which ended up being just 1.77 million hours slightly less. However, Amouranth also streamed in much more than Pokimane did during the month, which is apparently the main reason why she ended up higher. Amouranth streamed a total of 299 hours on Twitch in March, while Pokimane streamed just over 93 hours.
It remains to be seen whether Amouranth will sustain this streak during April, but her channel is certainly one that has increased significantly over the past few months. Part of this may be because Amouranth’s content on Twitch has a bit more variety compared to many other streamers. If you turn on, you can see her playing video games, dancing, recording ASMR or sleeping. Yes, Amouranth has even gotten used to letting her sleep sometimes, and believe it or not, viewers still watch thousands by streams.
At this point, it certainly seems like Pokimane is still the title as the most popular female streamer on Twitch, given how strong her relationship is from hours streamed to hours watched. However, if Amouranth continues to grow the entire 2021 audience in this way, she may become the next big streamer on the platform.
