‘American Idol’ 2021: Wyatt Pike begins to fall out

Two days after “American Idol” announced that Wyatt Pike had dropped out of the competition unexpectedly, the singer opened up on social media.

‘I had to @AmericanIdol competition for personal reasons, but is so grateful that I can play music for the rest of my life, ” Pike tweeted Wednesday. ‘Fellow participants – miss you all, good luck! Thank you so much to everyone for your support … stay tuned for more musical stuff soon! ”

In the announcement of Pike on Instagram, several Idol contestants – including Madison Watkins, Alanis Sophia and Grace Kinstler – commented on support for Pike, a 20-year-old singer-songwriter from Park City, Utah.

“So much love for you Wyatt !!!” Kinstler commented. ‘You’re going to do GREAT things; I can not wait to see how it all unfolds for you. ‘

The news of Pike’s departure from ‘Idol’ was a bomb. Pike, who had just reached the top 12, was a favorite among the judges and fans, Deseret News reported.

For what would eventually become his last performance on ‘Idol’, which aired Sunday night, Pike performed ‘Use Somebody’ by Kings of Leon and received great praise.

“I remember one of the coolest things that ever happened to me was the day I realized I could do music forever, under no circumstances,” Bryan told Deseret News. “And I tell you, Wyatt, you’ll be able to make music for the rest of your life.”
