When we think of Ryan Murphy American horror story, certain terms come up immediately to think. “Precision.” ‘Laser focus.’ “That man with the drill penis is doing terrible things to Max Greenfield.” And yet it sounds like Murphy and his regular actor role – now with Macaulay Culkin, natch – might be a shock of shock, and split their attention a bit for the next episode of the show That is, the 10th season of AHS ‘s title has now been formally announced: Dual function.

Except to get right away “Dual function for science fiction” stuck in our heads – thank you, Ryan– the title also refers to what will apparently be a divided structure for the new season, with one story “by the sea” and the other “by the sand.” Of course, FX’s promotion department broadcast this idea by showing a video of a beach, which is both sea and sand, so … Hmm.

This is not the first time AHS divided his focus formally, natural; the series sometimes enjoys screwing with its own format, especially with the Roanoke season that has jumped from a faux-documentary story to in-the-moment horror. It’s just too been a minute as the program once again did its extreme version of camp horror on TV; last season, 1984, wrapped in all his VHS-y glory back in 2019. Still no word on when, exactly, Dual function may be expected to debut, but the regular arrangements of Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Frances Conroy and more are all expected to return to the bloody fold.
