American Airlines Co (AAL.O) said Monday that it would reduce flights to some destinations in South America because the COVID-19 pandemic reduced demand.

The American airline said the service to Miami, Manaus, Brazil will be suspended until November 2 and the start of service from New York to Santiago will be delayed until July 2, instead of the planned start on May 7. It will also reduce the frequency of flights to Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo in Brazil and to Lima from some US airports.
