America Ferrera will confirm that she will return in the Superstore series’ final time with the first photo of her character Amy returning to Cloud 9
After her emotional departure to California at the start of the sixth and final season, Amy will return from America Ferrera to Superstore for the final finale.
NBC confirmed Ferrerra’s return on Wednesday and shared a first snapshot of the 36-year-old actress returning to Cloud 9.
The 36-year-old actress also shared the first look on her Instagram and revealed how excited she was to return to the beloved comedy series.

‘Surprise! Amy is back! So glad I had to play with my @nbcsuperstore family for the final series, ‘Ferrera began.
“It was a joyous and bittersweet goodbye that we can’t wait to share with our wonderful fans,” she added.
In the first photo, Amy is trying on a blue Cloud 9 vest, indicating that she’s going back to work at least for now.

The character of Ferrera, Amy Sosa, a manager at Cloud 9, was there from the beginning and played in the first five seasons before announcing her surprise departure in February 2020, a few days after the program for the sixth season renewed is.
“The last five years in Superstore have been the most rewarding, enriching and enjoyable years of my career,” the actress said in a statement.

Since leaving the sitcom, Ferrera has turned her attention to directing, after first directing four episodes of Superstore.
She recently directed two distractions from Netflix’s Gentefied in the first season, while also directing two more distractions in the second season.
It was also announced in February that she would be making her directorial debut with I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter for Netflix.
