AMD Ryzen 9 5980HS Cezanne 8 Core ‘Zen 3’ mobility CPU branded in ASUS ‘ROG Flow X13 Notebook 30% faster than Renoir

Standards for the AMD Ryzen 9 5980HS Cezanne Mobility CPU also leaked, which showed an impressive improvement in performance over its Renoir-based predecessor. The Cezanne processor can be seen on the ASUS ROG Flow X13 laptop, which is an enthusiastic design with a list of high-end components.

The AMD Ryzen 9 5980HS, which comes directly according to the specifications, contains 8 Zen 3 cores with a total of 16 wires. It has a configured base clock of 3.0 GHz that can amplify up to 4.80 GHz. The CPU has 4 MB L2 and 16 MB L3 memory and is based on the TSMC 7nm FinFET process node. In terms of TDP, the CPU is configured at 35 W, while the ‘HX’ series components are adjustable along with TDPs that can set more than 45 W, as it provides overclocking support.

The GPU section consists of an AMD Vega GPU with 8 computer units or 512 power processors with a clock speed of 2100 MHz. The ASUS ROG Flow X13 is equipped with an LPDDR4-4266 ram that should offer much better performance compared to previous generation Renoir offerings. A total of two entries were spotted within Geekbench 5, and both have the chip clocked at 4.8 GHz with an average boost of 4.53 GHz.

In addition to the AMD Ryzen 9 5980HS, the Ryzen 9 5900HS has also been spotted within Geekbench 5 and comes with the same core configuration in the ASUS ROG Flow X13 laptop. The difference is within the clock speeds rated on the basis of 3.00 GHz, but only a 4.6 GHz gain clock. The CPU tested performed at preset speeds of 3.30 GHz base and 4.40 GHz boost in all cores.

If we look at the performance numbers, the AMD Ryzen 9 5980HS scored 1541 points in single core and 8224 points in the multiple tests. The AMD Ryzen 9 5900HS scored 1381 points in single-core and 5897 points in multi-core tests. The AMD Ryzen 9 5980HS is 41% faster in single-core and 17% faster in multi-core tests compared to the Ryzen 9 4900HS, which brings the average gains to 30%.
