AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT rumors to conveniently crush GeForce RTX 3060, equal to RTX 3060 Ti

AMD Radeon RX 6000 Series Graphics Card
AMD stuck to the script when they launched a new generation of graphics cards by first focusing on higher-end models. So we had Radeon RX 6900 XT ($ 999 MSRP), Radeon RX 6800 XT ($ 649 MSRP) and Radeon RX 6800 ($ 579 MSRP). However, the real money is earned by selling more affordable options. AMD may find itself in a very good condition if the latest rumors about its upcoming Radeon RX 6700 XT are true.
As things stand now, AMD is facing a solid range from rival NVIDIA, which so far has its GeForce RTX 3090 ($ 1,499), GeForce RTX 3080 ($ 699 MSRP), GeForce RTX 3070 ($ 499), GeForce RTX 3060 Ti ($ 399). MSRP) and GeForce RTX 3060 ($ 329 MSRP). It has five cards in total on Ampere, compared to three cards from AMD based on RDNA 2. In addition, NVIDIA’s cheapest Ampere card is $ 250 less than AMD’s cheapest Ampere component.
You can bet that AMD will eventually expand its current generation range with more Radeon RX 6000 series SKUs. One of these is the aforementioned Radeon RX 6700 XT, which AMD chose not to unveil during its CES 2020 keynote address, despite rumors that it might do so (along with a non-XT variant). Although not manifested during the event, it will undoubtedly occur at some point.
Should NVIDIA be concerned? Maybe so, if YouTuber ‘Moore’s Law Is Dead’ is right on money. In a recent video posted on YouTube, he says that AMD is ready to dominate the mid-range GPU market with the Radeon RX 6700 XT, if the company can provide enough cards. This point should not be overlooked, as this is probably why AMD did not unveil the card at CES.

The Radeon RX 6700 XT is said to be based on Navi 22, with 40 computing units (CUs) running at 2.35-2.5 GHz, and 12 GB of GDDR6 memory (16 Gbps) on a 192-bit bus. It is also said to contain 96 MB of Infinity Cache.

Specifications are one thing, but what about performance? This is where things get interesting. According to what the YouTuber heard from unspecified sources, the Radeon RX 6700 XT should at least trade with the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, if it does not beat straight. And that means it will crush the regular GeForce RTX 3060 if the information is true.

One thing that may work in AMD’s favor is that AIB (add-in board) partners are believed to use cooling solutions similar to those used for GeForce RTX 3070 graphics cards. If so, it should help that the Radeon RX 6700 XT beats high watches.

Even better, the returns are said to be excellent. Who knows if the supply will meet the demand but that it has a good return can definitely help. In terms of pricing, it is expected to be in line with the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti. We’ll have to wait and see, but based on current rumors, the Radeon RX 6700 XT may eventually become a very popular card.
