A teenager in Tennessee who has been missing for a year and a half is currently possibly with her father in Florida, authorities said this week.
Daphne Westbrook, 17, was last seen in October 2019 on a weekend trip to Chattanooga, Tennessee, with her non-supervising father, 42-year-old John Westbrook.
John Westbrook was charged in June last year with interfering in guardianship, and a judge charged him with aggravated kidnapping last month.

John Westbrook has known contacts in Colorado, New Mexico, California and Washington, but according to FOX 13, he was recently spotted with his daughter in an orange Volkswagen Beetle in the Florida handle.
“Please know that no one is angry. You are so loved,” Daphne’s mother said in a message to her daughter at the local news office. “It’s not your fault that you’re in that situation. It’s not her fault. I have to be of her to get it right. I need it. I’m going to do everything in my power to make sure she’s is. “
John Westbrook is an IT expert who makes money by doing computer security work for small businesses, said Hamilton District Attorney Neil Pinkston.
He also specializes in blockchain technology and bitcoin, which the DA says makes it difficult for investigators to track him down.
Pinkston told WRCB that Daphne “constantly gets drugs and alcohol that keep her in a changed state.”
Daphne and John Westbrook may be traveling in this 1971 orange Volkswagen Beetle.

Daphne Westbrook is 5 ’03 “and 110 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. John Westbrook is 6 ’04” and 200 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.
They may be traveling in a rusty, orange 1971 Volkswagen Beetle.
