The Kids Edition tablets are basically standard Fire devices, but with a few added benefits – they have a two-year warranty, a kid-friendly case with a built-in kickstand and a one-year Amazon Kids +. The latter, formerly known as FreeTime Unlimited, provides access to thousands of games, apps, apps and more for kids to use on the tablet. Kids + also has a dedicated parent panel where you can determine what type of content your kids have access to, view their activities, set daily time limits, apply age filters and more.
Overall, we recommend the Fire HD 8 to most people, thanks to the mid-size HD screen, USB-C charging and 12-hour battery life. But the Fire 7 also has a lot to do – it has a 7-inch 1025 x 600 screen, 16GB of storage, 2MP cameras on the front and back, up to seven hours of battery life and a microUSB port for charging. But one of its biggest advantages is the low price. The Fire 7 is an excellent, affordable option if you want your kids to have a bigger screen with which they can watch their favorite shows and play games while on the go, but do not want to give away a page that costs hundreds of dollars not.
