Amazon Prime Video is working on a Shuffle feature

Amazon brings a slider to Prime Video, allowing users to select a series and play a random episode. Android police first spotted the feature on Android devices.

The feature can be used by viewers who know what program they want to watch but do not care in a specific order. Fluctuating episodes seem ideal for anyone who has a favorite sitcom who would like to play in the background while doing other things in the house. However, as Android Police pointed out, Amazon’s move feature can only be used after a season of a show has been selected, limiting its usefulness.

Amazon Prime is not the only service testing a slider feature. After several tests and different names, Netflix finally confirmed earlier this year that an official move feature will be coming to the streamer.

“It really works for us where our members can basically indicate to us that they just want to browse completely, click one button and we select a title for them to play right away,” said Greg Peters, chief operating officer and chief product officer. , which describes the feature during the Netflix Q4 call in January.

Unlike the Prime shuffle button discovered by Android Police, Netflix offers titles from the entire content library, based on previously viewed content and viewing preferences.
