Amazon Luna Cloud Games is now available on Fire TVs without invitation

The company’s Amazon cloud service, Luna, is now available to try in the US for free on certain Fire TV devices without an invitation, the company announced. Luna was launched early last year as an invitation service. Originally, customers also needed an invitation to buy the Luna Controller, but Amazon says it is now available to everyone.

Amazon’s FAQ states that users can access Luna on Fire TV by simply downloading the app. A list of Fire TV devices compatible with Luna is available on this Amazon support page. These include the Fire TV Stick Lite, Fire TV Stick (2nd and 3rd generation), Fire TV Stick 4K, Fire TV (3rd generation), Fire TV Cube, Toshiba Fire TV Edition and Insignia Fire TV Edition.

When you sign up for Luna, you get a free 7-day trial of the Luna Plus channel, which then costs $ 5.99 per month during early access and games like Control, Metro exit, and Grill. There is also an Ubisoft Plus channel subscription for $ 14.99 per month which includes titles such as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

In addition to Fire TV devices, Luna’s early access is also available on Windows, Mac, Android devices, and web browsers on iPhone, iPad, Windows, and Mac, but only after receiving an invitation. “If you do not have a Fire TV, you can still request an invitation to access Luna at amazon.com/Luna,” reads the Amazon report. The service is currently restricted to the American continent, excluding Alaska, Hawaii and US territories.
