Amazon is launching a new subscription service for Echo users called Alexa Guard Plus, which will include access to a 24-hour helpline, alerts when you hear smart speakers or screens a burglary, deterrents and more. Guard Plus costs $ 5 a month or $ 49 a year.

Alexa Guard Plus was announced last year as an extension of the existing free Alexa Guard feature, which monitors the sound of glass breaking or smoke alarms, sends alerts to users, and randomly switches on and off lights while you are out and about to simulate a person what are.

Guard Plus, along with the fee, introduces some new features, namely deterrent measures, such as sounding the alarm or the sound of dogs barking as a burglary, and a 24-hour helpline, which can connect become users to emergency services. In addition, Guard Plus listens to a slightly wider range of sounds – such as human footsteps in the house – than the free version of the service.

Amazon today launched Alexa Guard Plus to Alexa users, and it will be available to US customers for a free one-month trial.
