With the power available and the long battery life, the MacBooks powered by M1 proved that Apple could build a laptop without Intel chips. If you’ve been thinking of getting one but have so far gotten the price, Amazon is selling the 256GB MacBook Pro M1 for $ 1,199 and the 256GB MacBook Air M1 for $ 929- $ 100 and $ 70 respectively of the regular prices.

With an excellent 94 rating, the MacBook Air M1 is one of the best laptops we have reviewed in recent memory. Some of the reasons for this are the fast performance, a low weight of 2.8 pounds, quiet fanless design and the battery life of 16 hours. The only problem we had at the time was the lack of native applications, but a lot of new ones have arrived since then, including beta versions of Photoshop and other Adobe programs. Otherwise, it’s a lot like the previous Intel models, with a 13.3-inch screen, excellent trackpad and comfortable keyboard.
We were a little less enthusiastic about the MacBook Pro M1, although it still scored a good rating. Featuring a fan and larger body, it can outperform the MacBook Air M1 and also features a beautiful Retina display, good keyboard and trackpad, and up to 16 hours of battery life. However, it lacks features that content creators can expect, such as the ability to use more than one external monitor, just two USB-C ports, and a 16GB RAM limitation. A
Amazon’s offerings only apply to the 256 GB versions (each with 8 GB of RAM), and the lower MacBook Air M1 price is limited to the gold-colored model. However, you can get the MacBook Pro at the retail price in space gray, or get it in silver for just a dollar more.
