Amazon is updating its Prime Video app to include a new feature: the ability to play episodes of an app in any way (via Android Central). This feature can make it easier for people who just want to watch a sitcom without really having to do it choose an episode. When you click the button, you have to start playing episodes in random order.
The function initially seems to be somewhat limited – according to Android Police, it does not make you shuffle through the whole show, just one specific season. At the moment it is only seen on Android.
According to Amazon, Netflix could try to perform a move function: according to Variety, Netflix has announced that it will roll out a slider to users sometime in the first half of 2021. Finally I can even more confused try to look JoJo’s bizarre adventure.
It’s unclear if (or) this feature will come to the iOS or web versions of the app – Amazon did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
