Allegheny County officials announce fourth COVID-19 boom – WPXI

PITTSBURGH – Channel 11 aired Wednesday by dr. Deborah Bogen heard, explaining that Allegheny County is in the middle of the fourth COVID-19 boom since the pandemic began.

Dr Bogen said the positivity had now increased to 8.8 per cent. The health department on Wednesday confirmed 418 new cases. Dr Bogen added that she did not expect matters to decline over the next few weeks. She attributes a large part of the case to large gatherings, combined with no social distance or masks. New variants in the country are also to blame.

“With a heavy heart, we are far in our fourth wave of heavy cases,” said Dr. Bow explained. “The number of cases will continue to increase and again in early January, and the number of cases has set a record for 2021.”

However, there is a silver lining for this update, as dr. Above mentioned two mass vaccination clinics planned for this month. These clinics will use the single and Johnson and Johnson vaccines.
