PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Allegheny County Department of Health reports 1,601 new cases of Coronavirus and 22 additional deaths during the past 48 hours.
The country did not provide an update on Friday.
Of the cases just reported, 1224 are confirmed from 4551 PCR tests. There are 377 probable cases.
The health department says new cases range from 5 months to 104 years old, and 49 is the median age. The dates of positive tests range from November 18 to January 1. According to them, 122 positive tests are more than a week old.
Of the 22 newly reported deaths, two were in the 60s, four were in the 70s, ten were in the 80s and six were in the 90s. Thirteen of the 22 deaths were related to long-term care facilities. The death dates ranged from December 10 to December 27.
There have been 3,219 hospitalizations in Allegheny County since the outbreak began.
The death toll in the country rose to 977.
There have been 55,410 total cases of coronavirus among Allegheny County residents since the pandemic began.
