Former Marilyn Manson and longtime Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland have spoken out for the singer, saying in public that the allegations against the musician are true, adding that he was in the area when Evan Rachel Wood dated the Antichrist Superstar.
Earlier this week, Evan Rachel Wood and four additional women accused Marilyn Manson of physical, emotional and sexual abuse. Wood famously testified to Congress in 2018 and set out an abusive relationship to advocate a bill for survivors of sexual assault. She initially left her former partner anonymous, but stepped forward on Feb. 1 and identified Marilyn Manson as her abuser.
West Borland joined Marilyn Manson’s group in 2008, which lasted less than a year before reuniting with Limp Bizkit. While talking to Twitch channel Space Zebra, Borland sounded like Marilyn Manson.
‘Marilyn Manson … I was in the group for nine months. He’s not a great guy, ‘said Borland. “Everything people have said about him is fucking true. So relax about the allegations against the women … like when men say [bad things about] these women chasing him now … fuck off, they’re telling the truth. I’m sorry for everyone on this podcast who does not like this. But that man, he’s incredibly talented, but he’s fucked up and he needs to be kept in check, and he needs to get sober and he needs to deal with his demons. He’s a bad guy. ‘
The guitarist continues: ‘I was there when he was with Evan Rachel Wood, I was at his house, it’s not fucking cool. That’s all I’m going to say about it. If anyone comes after these girls and wants to say, ‘You blah blah blah, this and that,’ fuck you, that’s all I’m gonna say.
