All Publix pharmacies in Florida to administer COVID shots

LAKELAND, Fla. Publix is ​​opening its online reservation system for the vaccination of COVID-19 at all 730 pharmacies in Florida, the company announced on Thursday.

“We are pleased to offer diversion options to each of our Florida pharmacies,” Todix Jones, chief executive of Publix, said in a statement released Thursday. “We know how important this vaccine is to the people we serve, and we are grateful that we can expand our ability to help our communities during this time of need.”

Vaccinations are provided to individuals 65 years and older while stocks last. Appointments are required and can be scheduled via Publix’s online booking system. Appointments cannot be made by calling Publix or the Publix Pharmacy.

The online reservation system usually opens every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning for vaccinations for vaccines at Florida Publix pharmacies, as long as the company continues to receive vaccine doses from state and federal governments and prevent unforeseen circumstances. Appointments may not be available in every province during every scheduling event. Clients with appointments for their second dose are not affected by the variations in scheduling opportunities and must arrive at the COVID-19 check-in area on the scheduled date and time.
