A new year means a fresh start and what could be a better start than getting more value on a service you previously paid for. With the start of January 2021, Microsoft has finally announced the upcoming addition of games to the Xbox Pass service that is already ready.
Available to anyone signed in to the Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft will add the following titles to the Game Pass library:
- Killer Queen Black (Jan 5)
- Cyber Shadow (26 Jan)
- The Medium (January 28) – Xbox Series X / S only
- Yakuza 3, 4 en 5 Remastered (28 Jan)
This time, Microsft did not start the year with a bang and managed to remaster Yakuza 3,4 and 5 at the same time as their computer launch on the game board. Furthermore, the Yakuza games are now available on the Xbox Game Pass, with the addition of the remastered versions.
For those unfamiliar with Yakuza games, this is a Japanese video game franchise created, owned and published by Sega. The Yakuza series is mainly generated, but elements of action adventure, open world and action role-playing games are also included in each game.
The main theme of the series is the protagonist’s desire to be Yakuza forever and start over, raise orphans and try to assimilate into civilian life, but the protagonist will face an ongoing challenge from other Yakuza groups and thugs trying to take him down. Yakuza games offer players a variety of fighting styles to choose from.
Cyber Shadow is another game from Sega that will be joining the wildlife map library on January 26th.
This is a 2d retro game that will take you back to the days of the Sega Generis. You play as a cybernetic ninja named Shadow, who wants to save his clan in a world overrun by a machine.
As for other games, The Medium is an exclusive Series X / S game only, and The Killer Queen Black is a multiplayer game where you play with up to 8 players.
Work with your friends on a journey to defeat the opponent’s queen and win the match. This is the first game of the year to appear on the Xbox Game Pass and be available on January 5th.
