Garret Miller of Texas is facing five criminal charges following the Capitol uprising, including trespassing and death threats. Miller apparently tweeted according to court documents: “killed AOC.”
He also said the police officer who fatally shot a Trump supporter during the attack “deserves to die” and will not “survive long” because it is “hunting”[g] season. “
Prosecutors said in recently released court documents that Miller posted on social media before and during the attack, saying a “civil war could begin” and “next time we bring the guns.”
According to the justice department, he was arrested on Wednesday. Federal prosecutors are asking a judge to keep him in jail pending trial, and a detention trial is scheduled for Monday.
