Alex Trebek’s last ‘Jeopardy!’ episodes airing this week

The last five episodes that Alex Trebek recorded as the beloved longtime presenter of ‘Jeopardy!’ will be broadcast from Monday.

Trebek, who lost his battle with pancreatic cancer in November, will be honored during the screening of his latest installment Friday with a special tribute to the life and work of the man who led America’s favorite quiz show with skill, style and sophistication for 36+ years, “according to a statement from” Jeopardy! “Manufacturer Sony Pictures Television.

Trebek’s latest episodes were originally broadcast during the week of Christmas, but producers pushed back the show times because they said the holiday could be too chaotic for viewers.

The Canadian-American host for the match programs announced his cancer diagnosis in March 2019, but passed on the band episode for the 2020-21 season before he passed away at the age of 80.

Producers say he did not know it would eventually be his last show.

“Danger!” will continue to launch new installments from January 11 with host and $ 4,370,700 lifetime program winner Ken Jennings at the helm.

The program has not appointed a new permanent host to replace Trebek, but bookmakers are already betting on his successor, with Jennings, George Stephanopoulos, LeVar Burton, Neil deGrasse Tyson and Pat Sajak among the frontrunners.
