It appears that Alec Baldwin is logging out of Twitter.
The 62-year-old Oscar nominee announced Monday morning that he will be leaving the popular social media app “for the time being” following his wife Hilaria Baldwin’s legacy scandal.
“Twitter is like a party where everyone is screaming,” the actor wrote. “Not much of a party.”
He concluded: “Goodbye for now.”

The message comes after a relatively busy morning on the app for the “30 Rock” alum, who started the day by mentioning the recent loss of Congressman Jamie Raskin and Sarah Bloom Raskin’s sonunspeakable. “
He also tweeted a handful of news articles and a quote from dr. Martin Luther King Jr. shared before signing off.

Baldwin used the app in Hilaria’s defense after questioning her Spanish heritage, and even took the opportunity to hit Twitter.
He has also previously addressed the criticism on Instagram and the ordeal ‘just a lot s. Called T ‘.

“You have to chop a bit through the rubble of Twitter. Twitter is just a big orchard,” he said. “And I certainly threw myself a little shit in the orchard every now and then with things I said. So it’s not lost on me that I’m guilty of it too.”

Hilaria was called out on Twitter last month for “pretending” to be Spanish. It was revealed she was actually born and bred in Boston, not Spain, as she implied.

She was also hacked for her occasional Spanish accent, which changed markedly over the years when she appeared on TV. It was also discovered that her real name is ‘Hillary’.
