(CNN) – The Miami Beach Alcode says the moonlight that its “city is an ash heap at the moment” means the massive masses of continuously vacationing in Florida.
“Well, in some ways it seems that our city is a jerk at the moment,” said Miami Beach’s Alcalde, Dan Gelber, and CNN’s Alisyn Camerota on “New Day.”
Gelber points out that Florida is one of the few states that is completely open and “the people are lying here in large numbers.”
“And when you have these levels of crowd, you can manage them to the extent that you have a huge police vigilance, and all of them create a lot of trouble and a lot of preoccupation,” Gelber said in a statement that hides cases of harassment and disappearances.
The Miami Beach City Extension Committee will hold an emergency order declaring the token starting at 8 pm ET from Thursday at home, until at least March 30th.
