Alabama Assistant Departs to Be Steve Sarkisian’s Offensive Coordinator in Texas

Two years ago, Kyle Flood followed Steve Sarkisian from the Atlanta Falcons to Alabama.

Now he will follow Sarkisian again.

Flood, the Crimson Tide’s attacking line coach for the past two seasons, has been hired to be Sarkisian’s attacking coordinator and offensive line coach in Texas, sources confirmed to AL.com.

The news was first reported by ESPN Radio.

Under the Flood, Alabama’s offense was the winner of this season’s Joe Moore Award, given to the nation’s leading offensive line unit.

Prior to Alabama and two seasons as assistant attacking line coach at the Hawks, Flood was the head coach at Rutgers from 2012-’15.
