Alabama adds 3,907 COVID-19 cases; hospitalizations above 2800

The number of new COVID-19 cases in Alabama is approaching 4,000 again.

Figures from the Alabama Department of Public Health on Dec. 29 at 10 a.m. show that the state has added 3,907 cases of coronavirus since yesterday, bringing the total to 351,804 since March. The state added 25 deaths, with a total of 4,737.

Hospitalizations rose to 2,804, the highest reported since the coronavirus pandemic began.

According to the ADPH’s new vaccine tracker, 20,354 COVID-19 vaccines have been administered since the process began last week.
