The club is currently in decline, having lost five in a row to falling 5-10 to a bad American league. However, general manager Brian Cashman is not panicking. The longtime manager gave confidence to Yankees team and manager Aaron Boone on Monday, according to Bryan Hoch of MLB.com. Cashman indicated that the Yankees will not make any decisive decisions with their roster or in their dugout due to their poor start. “This is the message to our players: ‘We believe in you,’ he said. “We know what you’re capable of. This is a bad piece, and we’re going through it together. ‘ Cashman has admitted that owner Hal Steinbrenner is “disappointed” with the performances of the team, but it does not look like it will lead to drastic changes. “I have a lot of confidence in the people we have,” Cashman declares.
- Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon start baseball activities on Monday, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register tweets. Rendon ended up on the 10-day injured list with a left groin system on April 12 (retroactive to April 11), although he will not return if he is eligible for Wednesday for the first time. The Angels used Jose Rojas, Jack Mayfield and Luis Rengifo last week third, but all three failed.
